The Harlandale ISD has outstanding alumni who have made great contributions to society and have accomplished many personal and professional goals. Every year, the district recognizes several of them as well as individuals who have served the Harlandale community by inducting up to eight new members into the Harlandale Hall of Fame. Any Harlandale, McCollum or Frank Tejeda Academy student who graduated 15 years prior to the nomination year is eligible. There is no age stipulation for the community service recognition; however, nominees in this category must have served the Harlandale community for at least 10 years outside the realm of their job title. Only current members of the Hall of Fame are allowed to vote. New inductees are then honored at a banquet and again at the annual Frontier Bowl.
The district began honoring its distinguished alumni and community supporters in 1985 and has since inducted more than 150 people into its Hall of Fame.
Questions about the Hall of Fame should be directed to Leslie Garza, Public Information Officer, by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling 210-989-4355.
